Prepare text that fits the form

Describe the information you want clearly. The text box is limited to 500 words and a listed set of Latin letters, digits and symbols. Check that character list before pasting; longer requests use Supporting document.

Check the attachment before uploading

Remove spaces from the PDF filename. The guidelines prohibit uploading Aadhaar, PAN or other personal identification, except the stated BPL-card exception. Check the file you selected before continuing.

Start a new application

Select Open Patna High Court RTI portal, then APPLY FOR RTI APPLICATION. Read the guidelines and select the undertaking that you have understood them before continuing.

Complete the form and submission

Complete the fields marked *. Check your email and mobile number. Follow the portal’s Make Payment and final-submission instructions; a payment step alone is not the final acknowledgement.

Keep both reference and acknowledgement

Save the application registration number and email acknowledgement separately. The guidelines say acknowledgements are emailed during court working hours. Keep the acknowledgement date with your request for later enquiries.

Return to an existing request

For later checks, choose REGISTERED USER LOGIN HERE(TO VIEW STATUS). If a reference or status is missing, use the RTI help email shown in the guidelines with your available transaction or registration details.
