  3. Match both parties, the case type and year. A matching name alone is not enough.

I have a CNR number

  1. Copy the full CNR from your case papers. It differs from the case number.
  2. Open CNR Number search. Leave BRHC01 unchanged, then enter the numeric part and year in the two editable boxes. Complete the CAPTCHA and select Show.
  3. Match the names and case details, then read the latest entry.

I have a token or filing number

  1. Find the filing number and year on your receipt. They may differ from the registered case number.
  2. Open By Token No. Choose the case type, then fill in Filing Number and Year.
  3. Complete the CAPTCHA and match the names and filing details.

I have a police-station case or FIR number

  1. Have the district, police station, police case number and year ready. Use the police case number, not the High Court number.
  2. Open Case Status by Police Station. Enter those details and complete the CAPTCHA.
  3. Match the parties and High Court case. This search does not show every police investigation or district-court case.

  1. Look for a case number or CNR on your receipt, case papers or an earlier order.
  2. Check whether it is a filing number or a registered case number. The searches are different.
