Prepare
Know the case type as the court names it (for example CWJC, FA, CR. MISC. or CR. APP (DB)), the case number and year, and whether the matter is civil or criminal.
Step 1
Open the Case Status page and go to the Civil Cases or Criminal Cases section.
Step 2
Choose the Type from the list, then enter the Case No. and Year.
Step 3
Enter the displayed Captcha and select Search in the section you used.
What to check
Review any matching record on the official site and compare its case type, number and year with your document.
If you need help
If nothing appears, check the section, the Type and the year. An empty result does not by itself show that a case does not exist. The page also offers searches By CNR Number, By Petitioner / Respondent Name and By Police Station.
