Separate the case year from the decision date
Have the High Court case type, number and year as written in your papers. The Year box belongs to the case reference; a later judgment date does not change it. Keep party names and any known judgment date for checking a possible match.
Select the actual case type
Select Open judgment case-number search. Read Case Type rather than accepting the initial choice. Options include full descriptions with abbreviations in brackets; match the abbreviation on your papers. Enter Case No and Year, complete the pictured code and select Show.
Verify the document you found
Compare the case reference and parties in any result and again on the document. Note its judgment date and keep it with the saved file. Open the saved file to check readability and whether the pages you need are present before sharing it for consultation.
If you need an order instead
Use Open order search by case number for the separate orders collection. Reuse the same verified case reference. A judgment search that returns nothing is not enough to conclude that no document exists in another court search service.
Open order search by case numberWhen the search does not meet your need
Use Open e-Sewa services and contacts. It links to Orders and Judgments and the certified-copy portal, and lists a contact number. State whether you need a missing judgment, help opening a file, or the copy service; keep the complete case reference and document date ready.
